When Dr Mahathir took his intiative to wash his own dishes,  his cabinet minister noticed and followed. A simple and good example of leadership.












Pn. Aishah Mat, better known as Mak Chah, was among shoppers in Pekan Rabu Complex, Alor Setar, Kedah. She sells varieties of traditional cakes, snacks and cookies since 1967. She and Dr. Mahathir were pioneers doing business at Pekan Rabu. When Dr. Mahathir became the Prime Minister of Malaysia in 1981, he never forget to order his favourite cookies (kuih) for the fasting month of Ramadhan from Mak Chah. Mak Chah`s Shop lot number is 22. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad served as the Prime Minister of Malaysia for 22 years. What a coincidence!

What a surprise! He chooses carpentry as a hobby. More surprises! Dr. Mahathir won international recognition and award in 1989 from the Worshipful Company of Carpenters in London. Creating is hard work.

This is no gimmick! Dr. Mahathir cooks. He wore the chef`s attire but he did cooked at home.There are several photos of him cooking dishes.

 




He adores and loves horse riding. Very few Malaysian politicians favour this sport. Dr. Mahathir differs others. Wonder if this has to do with his vision on the Malaysian made cars-Proton.
